Residents’ associations

At a meeting of Sounds residents’ associations hosted by the Guardians in Havelock in May 2002, the chair set out a plan: a network across the Sounds for sharing information, so communities get to know each other and can be heard together. The Guardians would carry on as a lobby group with links to the council and ministers, while the associations identify the problems in their own areas.

The long-term goal is integrated management of the Sounds, with community interests properly represented when it comes.

If your association would like to be listed or to work with us, get in touch.
